Rewards Program Basics

Can't I use my current credit card to pay for daycare or tuition and earn points?

Most daycares and schools accept only ACH or checks for payment, meaning parents miss out on reward points for an average of $25,000 in tuition per child each year!

Daycares and schools typically charge a 3% surcharge when paying by credit card, nullifying the value of any reward points earned.

Kina allows parents to earn rewards on their family's tuition payments without paying the 3% fee.

Is Kina free to join?

Kina Rewards is a loyalty program exclusively designed by parents for parents. Anyone can sign up and start earning rewards.

Which type of tuition payments are eligible for Kina Rewards?

Daycare, family childcare, preschool and K-12 tuition payments from our in-network school partners.

What does it mean for a school or daycare to be "in-network"?

In-network schools are signed up as official Kina Rewards loyalty program partners.

How can I tell if my child's school or daycare is in the Kina network?

During the onboarding process, all in-network partners will be displayed in the drop-down menu.

If you received emails or communications about Kina from your school or daycare, they are likely an official partner.

Can I get my school or daycare to join your network and earn more points?

It's easy! You have two options:

1. You can manually add your dependent's school during the onboarding process.

2. Email us the contact information of the program director or principal at hello@kina.co, and we'll reach out!

How much are Kina points worth?

Like most credit card loyalty programs, Kina points are worth between 0.5 and 1 cent per point. Point value may vary depending on the items being redeemed.

How many points can I earn on my tuition payments?

Members will earn 1 Kina point for each tuition payment made to any of our in-network school partners, up to 24,000 points per calendar year per account.

Getting Started

How do I start earning Kina points?

Once your account is set up, please visit the tuition tab. Under each of your dependents, you will either see:

Option 1: If you see this screen, it means your account is connected, and you'll earn points automatically each month.

Option 2: If you see this display under a school, it means your Kina account is not connected to the school.

In order to earn reward points, you must:

1. Manually verify your enrollment by uploading your tuition invoice. (see instructions: What documents are accepted for enrollment verification?)

2. Upload your ongoing payment receipts (see instructions: How do I submit payment confirmation receipts for reward points?).

Note to the Impulsum team, there might be a possible scenario (probably rare), but a dependent would have a school that is connected and one that is not.

What documents are accepted for manual enrollment verification?

If your account is not integrated:

You can upload your school invoice to verify enrollment. The school invoice must contain:

  • Your name
  • Dependent name
  • Your home address
  • School name and contact information

To confirm enrollment, visit the tuition tab:

  1. Upload your invoice
  2. Once the invoice is verified (the button will change), you can upload payment receipts going forward.

How do I submit payment confirmation receipts for reward points?

If your account is not integrated:

To earn points by submitting your tuition payment receipt, please forward us a copy of your payment confirmation to invoice@kina.co within 30 days of your payment date.

The payment confirmation must include:

A) The payment date and amount
B) Family information: parent name or family account ID that matches your invoice.

Please note:

You will only receive reward points if the information from your receipts matches your invoice and account information.

Can I submit older receipts to earn points?

No. We must receive the confirmation receipt by email within 30 days of your payment date.

For example, if your tuition payment was paid on May 5th, you have until June 4th to submit your receipt and collect points.

Kina will NOT retroactively credit prior receipts. This means that if you submit your January payment receipt to Kina in May, you will not receive any reward points.

How long does it take for my points to post to my account?

Points can take up to 5 business days to post to your account.

Why aren't my reward points being posted to my account?

If your points are not posted to your account within five business days and you haven't received an email from us, please get in touch with us at hello@kina.co.

Keep in mind that you can only earn points once per tuition payment. For example, in a family where parents are divorced and each has their own Kina account with the dependent connected to the school, Kina will only provide reward points to one account (the first account that was linked)

Can I add a new dependent to my Kina account to collect points after I've set up my account?

Yes, please visit your profile section, select the "Dependent" tab, and click "Add Dependent."

Create a profile:

A. Enter their name and date of birth, and upload a photo (optional).

B. Add daycares and schools

Note: If you don't see your school in the drop-down menu, it means the school is not a partner, and you will earn points on that tuition payment.

How do I redeem my points?

Please visit the Kina Store to redeem your points.

How long does it take for my gift card to show up?

You will receive your gift card via email in 1-3 business days.
